Timmy Chans is a Houston Staple! The food is freshly cooked. Takes right and always good. Removes a star for cash only long waiting times. Even if you have a shrimp allergy, I'm not sure about the fried rice. Definitely a stop to make in the area anytime! Several around the city.
we decided to order several small plates instead of deeres. we had the daily leaflets, empanadas, stuffed mushrooms and crabs rush weep. all were really good, especially the hush puppies. we will be absolutely back! good service and good food!
This was our first time going to The Piggy Kitchen for brunch. Our family met up for a birthday celebration for my hubby. We all had a fantastic time. One comment to future customers is that there really isn't any parking. You must valet park your car which was about $10 per vehicle. They are a pretty busy joint so you stand in line and order your food at the bar. It is delivered to your table via a number. Not the best when there is busy as they are as you cannot reorder drinks or anything unless you go back to the bar and stand in line again. The food is delivered to your table and be sure it's your food because the food runner did not speak English and we told her she delivered something that was not our order. Guess we got that dish for free ? the food menu items were great portions and very tasty. Everyone loved their plates. I would go back again now knowing how the whole restaurant and bar works. They really should consider putting an extra bar on the outside patio to avoid delays at the inside bar when they are super busy.
that was delicious. the server had a hard time communicating with the kitchen. a part of the order we never got, and an ordering instruction was not followed. still had a great time with the family and eating that we got pretty fast was delicious. I will give them another try, they may be 5 out of 5.
I went to several ram joints around Houston, which you can hang with them. The Ramen (Spicy Ramen) broth is great, tasteful, thick, seasoned well. Ramen noodles are very well made the portion is about size part to the bowl, cashu pork is well seasoned (my preference, not like unmarinated cashu) this is actually why is blows from other places I have visited. Beef Takaki was very good, although I usually do not order beef sashimi, it was a good cut with good taste. Mini Cashu Bowl, is just that, a small roasted rice in a bowl that was also well made with a codled/poached egg. I like egg yolk on rice so it's a victory for me. Also for the Lils. Mentai Mayo Fried Chicken Oroshi Ponzu Fried Chicken are amazing starters are some of my fave together with a bowl of riddles order. I was here three different occasions, service was always polite. Great energy from waiting staff kitchen staff as they welcome, thank you say good Bye in Japanese to their costumes. If you are looking for big arms do not feel like driving in the middle city or waiting in long lines in Bellaire this place is perfect for Rarmen aficionados.
