Excellent brisket! Surprisingly quiet when I stopped at Labor Day weekend on Friday night. I hope the place will be more business than what I saw because it would be a shame to lose it. Great service and atmosphere.

Finally, a visit from San Antonio. The bride was moist, smokey, tender and salty. Right. The garlic sausage had a little kick. Good hold for BBQ goodness.

Amazing BBQ! This place was on our list to try for a while, some friends here took for the first time and we were all currently surprised about quality and service. The 4 of us got “The Holy Feast” and we had remnants. I loved all the food.

The bride was so tender and juicy that I could cut with a fork. The pulled pig was just as tender and juicy. The Koleslaw was different from the “midwest” version that I am used to, but undoubtedly the best Koleslaw I have eaten! Definitely five stars for everything I tasted and ate. At the next visit to Waco I am definitely back!

I havnt tried them all, but so far, this is the best BBQ joint in Waco. Staff super friendly and food is very tasty. Brisket was moist and tasty. The garlic sausage is better than the cheddar one. Mac and cheese is good. Potato salad is ok. Love the drink choices available. Place is super clean.

Guess Family Barbecue was okay. We went here off the recommendation from Texas Monthly. There’s unique menu items you don’t always see like Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs topped with Brisket Jam. (Very yummy! We also tried the hatch green chili Mac and Cheese, and it wasn’t kind of a let down. The sausage was very delicious! BBQ sauce at the table, so super convenient. Service was very odd, the lady taking orders was kinda weird. It seemed as if she didn’t have to talk to us, she wouldn’t have. It was our first time there so hopefully it’s not always like that. Our order was also missing a serving of sausage, but when we asked about it they gave us the wrong one.

Very good, we had Brisket (very tender and good flavor), Beans w/chopped brisket (reminded me of a very good chili, don 't beat me up for saying that), fries (nothing special except they were cooked perfectly), and potato salad (mashed potato salad, I really liked it). The downside was, the lady at the register seemed disappointed in how little we ordered, like we were ordering enough, and then when we were done we cleaned up our trays and I couldn 't find a spot to leave them, so I walked them up to the kitchen, and handed them to one of the staff and she acted like I was committing an unforgivable sin, and I felt a bit like she was scolding me by telling me next time to please just leave them on the table. So I would love to give 5 for the food, but -1 for the lack of hospitality we are used to when visiting Texas. I was even going to compliment them on how good the food was, but after that it just seemed like it would have been a waste of time.

Pleasantly surprised, there's a lot of barbecue places in Waco this is probably one of the better ones. Cheesy gritsyum, we ordered one and went back for another order... Coleslaw was very unique I recommended. The chicken was sold out so we had turkey, it was really good.
