Daylight Donuts - Rocky Mount

The man coveted Donuts so we were worth our trip. We love this place!! We're very happy.

I would like to begin by saying that a few months ago I will refer to another review that I was particularly moderately inspired while I did not provide much helpful information. The review in question leads a member of the staff to carry out the literal bare minimum and calls into question its hygiene and cleanliness. I was only a handful of times at Daylight Donuts, but it was enough to know that there are only two customer-oriented employees, so I deny to whom this review refers by the process of elimination. The employee to whom the review refers is someone I know loosely through voluntary work that we do together, and although I only know it briefly, I thought that the review was very unfair because there were no specific difficulties with its hygiene and cleanliness that I know to be nothing from the ordinary. In the hope of combating false information, I would like to offer in my assessment that the two employees at the front are always friendly and helpful, although it seems that they are very busy (I have seen that they change between running the register and baking). Staff wear gloves when handling food and beverages, are appropriately dressed and cared for, and excellent in maintaining the Mother Pop atmosphere, which is as unique to small businesses like this. It is true that they could do with some more help in baking to maintain demand, or possibly start baking a bit earlier (although I don't know if this would be inappropriate, as I know when they start baking for the day). The fully equipped selection represents all your classic favorites, such as chocolate ice cream, chocolate with wrinkles, glazed, powdered, etc. Eclairs, cinnamon balls and frit are great choices for people who do not prefer donut. Coffee is local and good; does not need much for it. Has become a big small town business that has managed to raise their boat trips and get through this pandemic!

This is our first visit to this donut shop and on arrival the donuts looked amazing and were a great size. Unfortunately, we thought that chocolate ice cream was a little bitter, the cakes donuts were dry, the apple fritter had no apples in it.

Donuts were very good! The staff was friendly. Really enjoyed our visit, definitely again.

This place is always on point. The customer service is amazing and the donuts are even better.

FINALLY! A real bakery, with a great staff! Fantastic donuts and pastries, filled and unfilled, smells like HEAVEN! Such wonderful people; friendly and helpful. Our newest favorite Saturday morning go-to place!!
