Do not look at the sawdust on the ground and try the lamb or pork dives with rugged bleu cheese. Yeah.

What can I say that wasn't said? Here's the OG. Are you in LA? Then you come here. Ready. I like the horse radish on the side and yes, I ask for a little extra juice to immerse it and yes, it tastes amazing. It's all right. The pickles. Yum! The eggs, Yum. The beets, I don't even like beets and they're great. Beef? You have to try.

Has heard from this place from behind in the day and while on holiday in LA finally decided to try it, It quite lives up to its name, you are double dipped French sandwich diving and they are pretty good! Actually, I would say one of the better French dives I've ever had, it's worth coming here to try it out. Also like the Steakfries And the general atmosphere is beautiful. Nor was it excessively expensive. You have parking on the back can somehow get it tight, so early arrive.

came on my trip to L.A. for the famous dipped Bratbeefsandwich. We liked it so much, we came here twice! Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Great prices and fantastic food. Very recommended.

This place never disappoints. An icon of old L.A. The meat is tender and juicy and hand-sliced. The sides are fantastic, especially the cole slaw, potato salad and kosher pickles. They have a great craft beer selection, too. A great stop before or after a Dodgers game. Highly recommended. 2 thumbs

The best!! And whether that is the nostalgia of eating here or not, I don’t know. I first came with my grand parents in law (who have passed away) and fiancé (now wife) 23 years ago. Every trip to LA can only be considered complete if we go here. I get the same thing, lamb French dip, wet. Then I add custard or a side. I love this place.

The au jus was delicious, of course, and you have your usual cast of kooky downtown characters. I would say the pie was good, but I didn’t get enough to judge since my girlfriend ate almost all of it we got the beef on a French roll, single dipped. We even saved half a sandwich for our roommate, and it was still good. I think the coleslaw has room for improvement, but I doubt they’ve changed the recipe in 100 years so it’s all good.
