I had the shrimp and grits.very different from the last time . It was rubbery and overcooked with way too much sauce. We always have to wait along time for things we asked for-a for, salt, ice tea. Looks like you are understaffed

beautiful venue, friendly, efficient staff. food was delicious and reasonably priced

of us dined at the Blue Door to celebrate my brother’s birthday. We were seated on the patio to enjoy a beautiful summer evening in Chicago, safely. The patio was very lovely. The menu is somewhat limited but the selections were hit the spot from our perspective. We all enjoyed our entrees and kudos to our attentive server, Juan. Would definitely recommend

Delicious food . Attentive informative waiter worst table we have ever been seated at. Location and deafening acoustics made us feel like we wanted to get out as soon as possible. It was not the lovely evening we anticipated

The one word I keep repeating is charming, absolutely charming from the paintings the lighting the tables and chairs and the wonderful staff Makes the Blue Door the best relaxing place to dine alone or with friends. Let me not forget The Food is Best soooo very good

Short of help

The patio was really lovely. The food wasn’t as good as I expected based on other reviews. I ordered the cauliflower “steak” and it was a bit bland—I make better cauliflower at home (and I’m not a great cook). We also got the shrimp and grits-it was good but not spectacular. Drinks were fine. Overall it was a nice night out but maybe best to stick with the house specialties (fried chicken)
