My husband and I have gone to this restaurant in the past and havent experienced any issues with their food or service. We had company at our house recently and commented on how good the food was etc. The night we went the food wasnt cooked, and the cook didnt even take the advice of the food server that the food isn't cook and to take his time. I noticed while there a number of dishes were sent back because the food wasn't cooked. This cook was NOT giving this restaurant a good name that night and wouldn't even take good advice from his server. I think that owner of thus establishment should rethink the cook before he loses more clients. There isn't many restaurants in Amargosa, and when cooks don't care about the food he is giving to their clients, it's time to change the cook to someone that cares.

Inside the Casino just up S.R. 373 in Nevada . Clean as a whistle, okay service, I think they could use one more server, good food for decent prices . The casino has clean restrooms across the lobby . Gas pumps outside that are a bit cheaper than Ca., maybe a better mix of gasoline too like Az. I asked, no on there knows A handy convenience store across the hall to boot . -Nate

had the wild West jalapeño burger. Came with crispy crinkle fries. It was big and delicious and a bargain at $14, especially compared to the prices at the restaurants inside death Valley National Park Service was prompt and friendly

Absolutely no flavor in either meal. Definitely not worth the price. They load up plates with crinkle fries in an attempt to compensate for bland food, I guess.

Info said they were open, apparently closes at 2:00 and reopens at 4:00. We got there at 2:05 and it was shut down. Their website says they have lunch until 4:00. Very few options in this area so ended up getting snacks at their store. Update your website!!!

We've been eating at Jack's on a fairly regular basis for the past two years. The food was well prepared and occasionally we would see the chef talking with patrons about the food. About a month ago we noticed a change. The quality and taste seemed to be going down. Yesterday, after my chili cheese burger that I ordered medium rare was burned to a crisp we asked the waitress if there was a different chef. She said there was and that the previous chef had left in October. A sad day for Jack's and we won't be returning.

Didn't expect much given the remote location, but we were quite satisfied. We had breakfast here on a Saturday while staying at the hotel. Breakfast burger: 4.5/5. Fresh vegetables and egg really good, with well seasoned hash browns. Spanish omelette: 3.5/5. Needed some more seasoning but overall solid. Toast came pre-buttered and was good. Coffee: 3/5. It was standard and inoffensive. Service was a little slow but very warm. The mountain views outside through the glass walls were great. Tables had hot sauce on the ready. Thank you for your hospitality!

Dining options are limited when visiting Death Valley National Park particularly when the restaurants inside the park are closed or have limited hours due to Covid. Hence, we ended up here. Either due to popularity and/or lack of choice, Jack's was full Monday at 7:00pm on the night prior to us having breakfast. At 7:45am, people were already waiting for breakfast an indication that the restaurant should open earlier than 8:00am. We too, were there when they opened and breakfast took a lengthy hour which is too long to get cold hash browns, burnt toast with a scoop of whipped butter mashed in between, and tough eggs in an omelet with unevenly distributed ingredients. Additionally, the food was not seasoned. Beware of the screwball pricing where coffee is $3, a side of toast is $3, and an English muffin is $4, but a side of potatoes is $4.

Just shoot me! I’m so miserable! My daughter, granddaughters, and I ordered a late evening takeout from ST. My granddaughters ordered personal sized pizzas (kids right??? . My 5 yo dove into hers immediately, but my daughter managed to grab a bite and commented on how delicious it was. My 12 yo was a bit wiser!!! She waited until my daughter and I opened our variety of boxes and containers and decided to sample everyone else’s before unboxing her own pizza. She sampled her mom”s pork chops first and declared them scrumptious, then baked potato salad, in which she “sampled” about a dozen bites. Then she tried my grilled BBQ chicken, topped with sautéed onions, bacon, cheese, and scallions, which was also the largest chicken breast serving I’ve ever seen! She commented on how good it was, and then over comes my daughter who declares, “it is the most moist chicken breast I’ve ever tasted!” Of course by this time, my mouth was watering! I had decided to eat my side salad first, which was fresh and delicious with homemade dressing and croutons. Not wanting to waste any of the salad, as i had already doused it in dressing, I continued to eat it. By this time my 5 yo was finished with her pizza and came over to get in on the chicken action. At this point I’m starting to get a little concerned! My huge piece of chicken, which I’ve only heard rave reviews from my family about, had diminished to about half its original size. I was finally able to devour the rest of my salad, and take my first bite. Their comments were understatements! It was the best piece of chicken I’ve ever put into my mouth! And, GOOD NEWS, I tried, but couldn’t even finish the large half that was left. GOOD NEWS, that is if I get to the refrigerator first in the morning! THE RACE IS ON! Southern Table, we will be back!!!
